I believe he went into rut and his older brother Grayson said he did it with a dog but he actually spent his rut with the uke. Grayson is just a nasty character playing pranks on his brother. Dude been traumatized since his brother told him he spend his rut with a dog. I didn’t finish the novel to confirm the issue with the dog but that’s what what relayed in the novel.
