I read the novel a while ago so I don't remember clearly. Basically Grayson made Chase believe he raped a dog while in his rut, it didn't happened but Chase doesn't remember and Grayson takes advantage of that to mentally torture Chase. It's really sad Grayson is a moron. There is more detail in the novel but I don't remember sorry :(

When Chase had his first rut, there was no one to spend it with ( pheroeon accumulations is very dangerous for dominan alphas). Grayson paniced and brought is dog Alex (if you want to see Alex, the dog is shown in Kiss me Liar, by the way it's a nice dog and has it's own house), kind of as a last resort in Grayson's mind. But Chase passed out, and they took out his pheromones by injection. The only thing Chase remembered later was that a dog was present. And it didn't help that Grayson most likely as a joke told him that shit. (Grayson has no idea what it did to Chase at that point.). Well since no one told Chase the truth,.... . Later he uses it to get Chase to the pheromone parties to get rid of his pheromones by injections, since Chase doesn't release pheromones any other way htere are not many options left.
His story (web novel) was released this year, I enjoyed it. Grayson is pretty entertaining and had a good devlopment. And both got karma, but if you want to see Grayson's karma here:
