I'm reading this because it's frustrating and dramatic, so this really isn't a complaint but... BUT...
Every single chapter I was like why is this man sharpening his toothbrush and it was shank and just stabbing Jerome to death. If I were him Jerome would be getting shanked right in the fucking kidneys.
I would never kill myself because someone raped or humiliated me but I would sharpen my toothbrush, lol.
I checked out the novel (not finished though) to Raymond's second escape and it's so much worse than the spoiler. I'm amazed that Raymond doesn't break and off himself.
