Yes! I love Calisto and all buuuuttt it really doesnt excuse her of what she did to Eckles! I hope he is given freedom in the end of all this and a freaking Huge Apology that he deserves! (╬￣皿￣)凸
OH THANK GOD it's not just me!!! It sucks because I've literally been kicking my feet and squealing at Calisto and Penelope but it's just hard to keep being happy about them when we go back to Eckles and it just feels so depressing ╥﹏╥
I need him to be free and happy at the end and YES he NEEDS an apology and to get adopted by a kind family or SOMETHING!!
I've taken a break at Chapter 144 because it's just getting a bit much...
I have to preface and say i've been loving this story and love crown prince and penny so much but one thing has been bugging me and it's just reached it's peak in this chapter.
The really really weird dynamic between Eckles and Penelope.. She has a lot to feel upset about with everyone in her family and has every right to feel suspicious about how everyone's treated her. That being said, the one character I feel she has no right to feel any betrayal towards is Eckles? Don't get me wrong he does a lot of wrong but considering his situation the way she was treating him, not just with him being her slave (despite how many times she tells other people he's not one, that's literally how she treats him and never expects him to react in any other way) he's also much younger than her real self which she outright says and acknowledges. And a lot of her actions just felt very.. groomy?? I know it's part of the game but the way she touched him (the framing of those scenes??) and the constant showering of affection followed by her real thoughts about using him were so uncomfortably real that I had to stop at several points. And now I've reached the part where he's in jail and has done one thing (a really stupid thing) against her and Penny has not had one ounce of understanding that maybe this was bound to happen??? Like sure you don't have to feel bad for him I get that, but acting like this is a huge betrayal and not something that she should have seen coming, not to mention probably deserved for her own actions was just.. yikes. It's giving actual villain??
