Currently on chapter 20 on webtoon and it's a bullshit. It had a strong start, MC was bitter, full of rage and the villainess seemed cunning, smart and manipulative, plus her motivations are understandable. Overall a strong rival to MC, but the more I read it the more stupid she is. I have no idea how could she overpower everyone in the previous life, bc her actions are dumb af.
What also triggers are the love interests, bc they're falling to MCs feet for nothing. She describing her past-self as reserved, naive and shy outcast, without friends only her lover. Now she's trying to seem still naive and blunt, yet she's percieved as charming and mature, plus she got herself 3 LIs and a friend without trying. Also how can you fell in love with someone you were trying to kill?
Pisco is just a fairy godmother, who's helping MC for no other reason other than he's crush on her and it's against his friend. I'd understand if it was purely for his own profit or if MC blackmailed him or smt but just bc he's crush on random noble girl who promised him few pennies doesn't sound that good for betraying a frenemy with potential to become rich mistress.
Now for my pet peeves, they're not that serious for my overall rating, it's just annoying.
1. The names. I'm sorry they're so funny, like Pinberk? Hyperion? Xeros?
2. Pinberk's eyebrows. Everytime I see him I just want to bleach them
3. Too clean. Everytime characters are supposed to be dirty, burn or smt it's just so clean. E.g. Kanna's hair, yes it's supposed show us, she doesn't look like a typical peasant, but how often do you think she washes them? It's hard to believe they're silky smooth, untangled and clean with perfect bangs when she lives in poverty. SPOILER Or when Argos is supposed to be burn and in horrible state. The only burn thing is the hem of his shirt. He also has ONE already healed scar on his chest a day after the fire.
4. Confusing fashion. This is generally a problem in these webtoons, not just this one. Why is fantasy european inspired clothes from 16th to 19th in every mass produce manhwa? As a historical fashion lover it just hurts.
