I think he fell for her during the chase and probably after he died. That scene where she couldn't touch the sword and her saying she wanted to touch it made me think that whatever reason they were connected? Maybe ml was attached to the sword as a ghost and basically saw everything. I think I've read a story like that before where the fl saw her cold husband go absolutely deranged after her death and she followed him around as a ghost (obviously a BE)

    Now that's a question. Sorry, I actually have no idea. It was just a short novel I chanced upon after searching for tragedies.

    Haha I just felt like I haven't cried in a while and felt kind of numb so I went ahead and read short tragedies because those are the saddest for some reason. Especially with a seasoning of regret

    This isn’t a short story but I recommend three lifetimes, I still cry thinking about it
