He boiled the watch after finding out it costs 2,4 million won. It reminded him of the difference of their circumstances, satomi saving up every little penny he has to give kyouji something, vs kyouji just easily giving away a really expensive watch ;-;

I read only until chapter 13 were satomi asked “what are we” and omg never in my LIFE did I expect this to become so deep to me :(((( the panels hold so much meaning that I’ll probably reread this after the anime finishes airing.
Some things I noticed where (after the hug) satomi googling things like “can yakuza quit” etc hurts me so much since he’s actually thinking about a future with kyouji, but I love how mature he is - so he isn’t just blindly rushing into things. He’s on the edge of “piss off you asshole” but also “please let’s just be “normal citizens” together forever” which is so sad to me :(
Kyouji is WHIPPED but at the same time, really really conscious of him being a bad influence on satomi. I’m guessing that he would actually travel all the way from osaka to Kamata just to bring him food. But him saying that he’s actually there for another karaoke battle must have made satomi snap a little.
Also what happened to the watch after satomi got it back? Why did he boil it? I don’t wanna continue reading this since I wanna keep this for the anime … but I’m SO close to finishing it NOWWW
