I honestly enjoy the story. Everything we learned about vampires basically hinted Kaname wasn't going to be able to move on without Yuki, once he remembered her. Kind of wish we got to see Zero, Yuki, and Kaname as a throuple. Idk, I'll always have a soft spoke for VK so I can't judge it too harshly. I honestly didn't know about this sequel until nearly the last chapter so Im going through a lot of feelings I had when I first read VK's end ╥﹏╥
