I have a theory that the cat we met in the past chapters was the Amane that's trying to change the future and I might have guessed he's trying to save Tsukasa but failed, then he became the clock keeper servant because of him going insane from trying to change the future. I kinda have a theory he also used the hourglass thingy, but we don't know yet
For people who are lost - Nene has come back to the year Hanako turned 4. She meets an older Hanako who has also been sent back to this year (unclear how/why yet). He remembers meeting Nene before and makes the connection that she is about to meet 4 year old Hanako and spend time with him - this is currently a closed time loop so memories with Nene now are retained between baby Amane and older Amane.
She’s here to protect baby Amane from the clock keepers so she can return to her original timeline.
