Also I have re read this for the 7th time and its still ongoing but i have prophesized that in the past Cain became a vampire and Agio had to kill him. If you re read it it hints a lot that Ver isn't the one who killed Cain.
Now the thing is I cant think of a reason why would the church alter the history, is it for their benefit or smthg? （￣へ￣）
