This has become almost accepted as “normal” there. The country has developed an industry that sexualizes children to a disturbing degree. Creating entire genres like lolicon and shotacon essentially provides a fictional outlet for pedophiles under the excuse that “it isn’t real.”Bc of this, I can never stop hating Japan. It’s no surprise that the country struggles with high rates of crimes against women and children, higher rates of pedophiles. Their media culture fuels cycles of degeneracy, and instead of reducing harm, it risks normalizing these behaviors further across society.
