The truth about mental health.

The story is a bit cliche but the portrayal of mental illness is on point. The feeling of thinking you are just making everything up, the way the mc deliberated in his head to "pretend" to ignore everybody else giving him the thought of still being in control of how he reacts not knowing he is already trapped in his head, the erratic back and forth between fake and reality, the wanting to get better yet still experiences loss of control, the acceptance of death as a relief from suffering, and the healing from trauma portrayed as not linear. It also showed how the people close to the MC is affected with his condition. I love how the last chapter shows how the ML is constantly on the lookout for another psychotic episode despite their happy days. Mental health not only affects the person who has it, but everybody around them. Despite not liking the story all that much, I still think the author has a lot of potential. I look forward to their other future works.
