I wish people would stop infantilizing people with disabilities especially hearing ones. Like I get it’s over protectiveness and love but you can’t keep them in a bubble. They have a hearing disability they can walk, and cook and do everything a hearing person can. Theyre regular people and should be allowed to live their life the way they want and be independent and free if they want it. Forcing them into a bubble does nothing but make YOU feel better. You shouldn’t force those feelings onto someone who wants to be independent part of being grown is being able to make mistakes and learning from them.
