It's because Josh was his employee when the rut scene happened and it would be breaking a very expensive contract so Josh never said a thing. Chase didn't remember either so they went their separate ways cause Josh thought he'd never see Chase again. IF im remembering things correctly then from Josh's pov its like they just had a one night stand (at least that's what he thinks chase will think of it) and plus he knew chase was way out of his mind to remember anything at that time either. so when Josh gets pregnant hes like "yeah imma keep this child. not like ill be assigned to chase again" (which kinda holds true until he does gets re-assigned years later). and plus he also does not know the exact details of chase's health issues. like he knows Chase needs shit tons of medicine but not what for.
as for Chase , he actually does not remember . and even the flashbacks that he's getting , it's kinda difficultto explain but even that is not like he's getting those memory back(his brother Grayson kinda tells him some other shit when he went into rut/heat with Josh, i dont remember what it is for alphas(this will be another thing I don't wanna spoil here)but yeah.).
