they were attacked by a pack of coyotes and chase did nothing but froze, so josh did everything to protect him (getting bitten at the process) and chase blacked out. when he woke up he saw josh smoking then (blah blah blah happened) suddenly josh asked if he can kiss chase, chase agreed (due to guilt?) and they made out like crazy then stopped after josh asked if they can go further. for more info just read the novel (start in volume 2 chapter 5-6?) (sorry for my bad english)
