yk im kinda waiting it out, spoilers said that it'll change and stuff, it's not supposed to be that kind of manwha in the long run and the story in itself is also good, i'd rather be confused as to why rape is so normalized in manwhas
honestly i think this is a conversation that needs to be had separating reality and fiction. a lot of people have noncon kinks (KINKS) that they can enjoy in fiction such as manhwa where it doesn’t hurt a single person irl. and the popularity of these manhwas proves that lot of people do enjoy it - and one of the benefits of enjoying kinks in manhwa is that people who don’t have the kinks don’t have to read the manhwa. it’s not ‘normalized’ in the sense that people who read these manhwa suddenly think it’s okay to rape people now, but it’s a common trope clearly because enough people enjoy it as a kink/theme/trope or whatever in FICTION.
Yup . Rape ruins it all . But I just wanna share that MC here is really Painfully straight. Straighter than any MC I have known till now .I have read the novel & it's so obvious. If he was Gay , they would have done it consensually early on .
So I genuinely doubt there could have been anything intimate between these two otherwise. Rape scenes here in manhwa has been toned down , in novel it's even more brutal, I literally took months break after that rape chapter before reading forward and genuinely hated this MF , But the story is solid and yup our MC does need this MF moving forward. So yaa
i honestly dont care that u find rape in fiction hot as long as you can separate reality and fiction but the problem is when other people dont and let it affect them subconsciously but thats a different topic. i am still allowed to complain that a manhwa has rape in it, no matter what reason.
and i just said my honest thoughts- the art is good, the characters even had good chemistry at the start, the pairing, the smut is drawn well and the scenes are well thought of. its only a shame that it had to be rape
the thing is that like most people don’t let it affect them subconsciously, not in the bl space, so it’s hard to watch people center their entire argument on something that isn’t true

no, your analogy is completely incorrect. this cannot be equated to me going to the soup store. me going into the soup store would mean there being a big sign on the store indicating that it sells soup and willingly going inside. i had no prior knowledge of this manhwa and went into it blind bc the art looked good. its you who is trying to twist the story in some other manner. i wonder what made u think of this analogy since i did not personally attack you nor your beliefs, where does this urge to prove someone wrong and belittle them come from?
