No, he's basically just stretching it out because it's his most popular work and his biggest source of income. Chinese fans often complain about how dragged out and plotless it's become. But if you think about it, this was never a story-driven series to begin with, it's more like those meandering comic strips you'd find in a magazine. There's no way he's ending this manhua, even if it gets close to 1000 chapters. (Not to mention that he’s one of the author/illustrator with the most merchandises in China. So why would je stop any soon? The merch alone prints piles of cash.)
