It takes a very long time for romance to be even part of the question and it’s moreso doomed romance than anything else for a very long time in the novel. I read quite a lot of that novel, the main story is complete after 379 chapters and there are 101 chapters of side stories. I read till chapter 300, and there’s implications of romance only around chapter 300. She finds out he killed her brother and he doesn’t explain why, he sets out to be a villain to her for a long time and disappears and she becomes extremely depressed. I won’t go into too much detail about how that turns around (or if it even does) and I don’t know the whole story either. However, if romance is something that you hate in your stories, you genuinely don’t need to worry about this because firstly (it’s constructed well and it’s believable and it doesn’t take away from the plot). I don’t even know who he ends up with completely and I just had 79 chapters left to go. The plot was still kicking my butt atp, like y’all have an extreme amount of time before you have to worry about romance. This story gets super depressing, angsty, and incredibly action packed so I again say romance is the least of your concerns right now.
