Yes it’s true that the ml tries every way possible to make the mc stay, and he does, until he can’t anymore and tells ml that if he won’t leave him he will kill himself. Only then the ml accepts it and they part ways.
And ofc the ml suffers A LOT along the way, so dw about it.

Like I need a story similar to this in the beginning where the mc doesn’t get worn down and the ml ends up groveling bc I’m not gonna lie it’s so exhausting seeing the mc being broken down again and again and again until they just forgive and forget like noooo i need someone who makes the ml beg and sob and be so remorseful without the mc breaking in between :/ it’s exhausting and depressing to read and all it does is make me feel gross and upset lol
