Honestly, same... like you said, nothing wrong with preferring either uncensored and censored dicks, it's just a preference. I like smut because of the intimacy and not to see the ACT itself in detail, does it make sense??
That makes perfect sense. I only read smut because I like to read about adult relationships and adult romance. I find shonen ai and straight romance to be frustrating because there's often too much purity culture in it... And purity culture is just misogyny.
Especially straight romance, where the two main characters will be in their late twenties, get married, be married for years, and the author will make the woman too pure and innocent to have sex even though she's married for years. They're into each other and married but she blushes when they hold hands and that's all they do. That's not how adult relationships and adult romance works. It's frustrating but because it's just misogyny!
I want to see relationships that I can relate to, romance that I can relate to, where the characters act like grown people because they are grown people written by grown people for grown people. I'm trying to feel things in my heart and not my pants, not that there's anything wrong with feeling things in your pants lol.

I couldn't have said it better! Especially the straight romance part, it's so difficult to find a straight romance manhwa that isn't excessively pure/childish (which I also like because they're cute, but sometimes it's too much and too common) OR full on smut without any plot or feelings. I appreciate it so much when authors don't shy away from portraying a more mature relationship without making it ALL about that!
I think a perfect example is “when a killer falls in Love”. They don’t even show the sex scene but to me it was the perfect mix of adult romance and intimacy without it feeling like a porno every few chapters (or every chapter for some).
