totally agree. i get its not exactly a romance but the development was just nonexistent imp. this makes me think we may be nearing the end, or atleast getting closer to it cause it doesnt seem like there'll be any mellow transitions to their relationship. it might just be suddenly like boom their feelings are mutual.

I think why Jaekyung ‘fell in love’ with Dan was cuz growing up, he never had many things, one being emotional support and love. Dan had given that to him regardless of Jaekyung’s snarky remarks and rude attitude. Like Dan cooked for him, spent time with him. Jaekyung was also aware about his financial situation and yet Dan bought him something expensive for his birthday with a handwritten letter, small things make big differences. He did that all without expecting anything in return, just to repay Jaekyung for paying his debt and grandma’s hospital bills. And the fact Jaekyung accused Dan of being the ‘spy’ in the gym was probably because he couldn’t phantom that someone could care for him without having something in it for them. I think later on, he saw Dan in more than the form of a ‘jinx’

I do agree that on a subconscious level Jae might have developed some OCD traits that might blind his true feelings (I'm not sure if love would be one bc again I still don't find anything romantic in their relationship but this is my opinion)
You're right about him seeing a lot of his old struggles (i need to emphasize on the struggles but not really his old self bc Jae has always had a bad personality/temper) in Dan but I think I saw more pity/arrogance instead of pity/guilt. If he'd felt pity/guilt he might have been more like "poor dude he needs some help" but instead we got a "why can't this mf stand by himself if I DID IT" yk? thus we ended up with him blackmailing Dan lol
my issue is as a reader I can't see/understand JJK blushing like a fool for Dan because it feels so out of character:/

You’re right about that, it is very sudden, but I’m sure Minghwa most probably also want to change the story line for once since we’ve been at the same point for like 70 chapters and it looks like it’d be going nowhere if there’s no change in character perspectives. However I am excited to see how Jaekyungs gonna do to get Dan back after the shit he threw at him in the last season.

Dan has given him something he can't necessarily buy which is love/support like you said. Again, I think on the comments we're still talking about how on a subconsciously level Jae learned to care about things he didn't care about before like a homemade meal and a small gift like you said. My issue still kinda lies on even though we saw that, I think it was only 1-2 chapters with them "bonding" like that, Dan definitely reached a solid spot and level of trust just like the rest of JJK's team the only think that differentiated him from the rest was the sex part(?
I can only hope Mingwa shows us a natural (and actually good) not even redemption arc but a self learning arc for JJK in my opinion, otherwise I'm just going to cringe at him for blushing like a fool tbh haha
What I learned from this chapter is that whatever the reason, it's not that deep, it's clear to our eyes in the plot. Jaekyung was attracted to Kim Dan's vulnerability + the existence of grandma + him receiving physical care (even professional) from the person he has sex with.

I'm kinda confused on why Dan should be that ray of sunshine to Jaekyung tbh?? have they spent time together? yes. have they slept together? yes.
But for me I don't get why Jaekyung would fall for him since Dan is not that different from all the people apparently he has slept with, except for him working with Jae's team. Have they trauma bonded? lol I don't think he in particular had the opportunity to "like" Dan in that way. Dan on another note, was your typical bottom falling for his abuser (but hey!! not anymore right?)
I won't criticize Mingwa necessarily for presenting characters like these (bc most people digs this type of stories i guess) but I still think the story is kinda meh, I was genuinely hoping to see something more interesting but it all feels cliché and forced. YOU CAN DISAGREE but these are my thoughts so far
