I was thinking about this and I think that until now he sees everyone as objects for his success. I've also complained about how badly he treats his gym mates, he even hit one of them for a reason that I didn't find good enough. So his sexual partners are also objects that he uses and exerts dominance over, because even in this vulnerable situation of being naked with another person and exchanging pleasure, he wants to have control and focus on himself. Also he thinks he NEEDS to have sex, so he has to complete this task no matter if the other person says no.
I think that's the kind of character building that can happen, but does that make him a likable character? nope, because committing sexual abuse for your own gain is not something that makes me like a character, even if it is rooted in his insecurity
Look, I get it, JK’s backstory is tragic, it explains a lot about his actions and his way of thinking. The jinx makes sense too in a way (at least it makes sense why he believes in it).
BUT where does being an absolute piece of shit come in? From what we saw in the flashback he wasn’t nearly as bad (attitude wise) as he is now.
And aside from that first guy we saw him with (which he punched the shit out of), we haven’t really seen him be violent with other “partners.” So why is he such an ass now?? Why was he so ruthless to Dan? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
