The story, since the beginning, shows how corrupt society can be to the kannagi people and how they are exploited by others. By no means do they romanticise or fetishise the abuse they face, including that of csa. To say that it is a cheap plot device used by the author like in other poorly written yaois did not see how it was expanded to show the deep rooted trauma it has on the kannagi. Furthermore, to say that no one should show these abuse stories realistically essentially is saying these mature issues should not be dealt with anywhere (takes away from survivors telling their stories etc).
While I do agree perhaps a tag could be placed to warn readers I do not think the inclusion of them is bad as they are written decently. To hate this is a form of purity and censorship culture.
