He thought bout leaving her and make her marry her past life artist lover to make ines happy. But when he said that to the artist the artist said that he doesnt want to get involved w ines again cuz he is full of regret becuz he killed himself.

Carcel always put Ines’s happiness first. The reason he thought of divorcing her is because he found out she originally wanted to divorce him because he was safer than the crown prince. Now that he knows she killed her child and the kind of guilt she’s living with, there is no way he would abandon her.
It’s not an exaggeration to say he loves Ines the most in this story and wants her to be happy. If she’s happy with him, he’s more than willing to make her the happiest woman in the world. In this current chapter, it’s already clear that Ines feels at peace with him. Just look at her face when she’s backhugging him and read her thoughts which said she can finally hear the waves in Calztela now and that’s he’s here with her. There’s no way Carcel would leave her now.
But is he leaving her? I didn't understand if he's still wanting to leave Inés or if he changed his mind already. I would be so mad if he brings up the divorce hahahaha
