I just wanted to rant and hear other people's opinions on the manhua 'Papa Wolf and the Puppy', because I've seen panels of it around everywhere but I have never seen anyone comment on how weird it is.
I love the art style and the overall concept and plot is adorable, BUT there is definitely an underlying fetish thing there. everything is just vaguely sexualised...
Like in the scene where the puppy is searching for food and tries to suck on the wolf's nips? I'm pretty sure that was shown in both human and animal form...
or in the human au where the wolf is covered in mosquito bite marks (which i swear is intentionally made to look like hickeys) and the puppy (in HUMAN FORM) gets ON TOP and STRADDLES the wolf and licks off blood from the mosquito straight from the wolf's face?
not to mention the 'wolf' is probably at least 30-40 years older than the kid. it's still weird where the kid is grown up, because the wolf raised him??
And also, the wolf's underling? with the blonde hair. there is something wrong his relationship and attitude towards the wolf, but I can't pinpoint exactly what it is yet, just that he is weirdly obsessive.
Don't get me wrong, I've read more than my fair share of smut, but this is just not it.
I really wanted to read it for the little guy's cuteness, but i really can't get past this.
Oh well, thank you for reading to my thoughts. I'd love to read any other opinions too!
