The real gift is a document proving his brother's crime. Ido thought Sejin would just stay in his room. But it turns out Sejin got heat and came out of his room. When reading the novel, this part was very sad.

This part of the story is hella weird. Bear with me as I try to give you as much context so it's not confusing.

Ido and his older sister have been collecting documents and evidence to throw the older brother out of the family.
The latest ch is when Ido's grandpa passes away hence Ido is wearing black clothes. Ido meets his older brother at the funeral. Ido's pretty shaken up about the demise of his grandpa and what happened with Sejin so out of frustration he tells him he has prepared a "gift" that he's been wanting to give to his older brother and that gift is at Ido's home.
The gift being the evidence of the crimes committed by the older brother. Ido said this because he wanted the older brother to see the evidence and be fearful of Ido and what will happen to him.
However just as he realises that Sejin is at home he regrets saying that but he he thinks that Sejin has been avoiding coming out of his room since he forced him so he brushes his anxiety off.
The older brother goes to Ido's home to find Sejin coming out of the restroom and thinks he's the "gift".

Honestly the writing in this part of the story is not that flushed out tbh. So I found this to be confusing.
