Considering this was the first wave of this genre in webtoon when it came out, it's pretty peak, I'd say. That is you completely obliterate the anime from your memory. Undervalued the entire experience of both the novel and webtoon when it came out. Not to dismiss any credit rightfully earned by their staff of hardworking (and underpaid) animators. However, as a novel reader, it cut the aura / send off by half... if not, into thirds. Definitely does not do it justice in the long run. They couldn't include many important scenes, and it would've been likely hell to animate. So, I do cut them some slack in that regard.
Still my favorite.
Just finished reading it again.
I can't read any other book about a necromancer without rolling my eyes.
Any other book with gates and hunters isn't as good in my opinion.
