Thing is i don't even think joo will do that much for dan , we saw his sed backstory and yet it does not explain why he is pice of shit even a bit let along excuses it , now since he realised he likes DR he'll do bare minimum like stay with him for a bit and treat him like a human being and kim will take him by open arms and even blame himself for not understanding his shortcomings and kim be like ooo poor guy he went though so much and i give him such a hard time by ruining away when he needed me and they will stay together forever . Or conflict will be joo trying to het to kim and kim be like noo you don't actually love me you are confused and then joo will say - but i love you i can't be without u it hurts being alone and kim will take him back like there's no tomorrow, and they will forget about how dan was raped abused literally locked up and mentally tortured by joo , they and us too because author already forgot about it .
Also it doesn't explain why he is shit ass person because , yes we get it he has sed life but why can't he treat his sex partners like people , with respect of a human being because he was raised better then that . Nothing explains why did he become this big block of abuse machine when he did everything to not be like his dad , and why he is so cold , and inhuman because he was raised better by coach and his mother, they showed him how to be a kind person yet he looks down on everything and everyone . I just have mixed feelings in general about how the story will probably progress, on one hand, imma keep getting mad, on the other hand I LOVE angst and redemption arcs, it’s the only reason I read these things because it’s hard to find good ones outside of these rape stories, I just like to see bad men beg and suffer (▰˘◡˘▰)
I also have mixed feelings because the way the author is favouring JK makes me doubt the redemption arc is gunna be very long or very fulfilling, but I’m on the edge of my seat especially because I feel like the season is gunna end at the start of the chasing arc so I’ll probably crash out then wait another year
Mixed feelings right now, jk does not deserve KD after everything and KD deserves someone better, but he’s in a self destructive spiral right now and does not have the confidence or strength to move on with his life without feeling like he is undeserving of it. While author’s favourite macho woodpecker is clearly gunna have minimal punishment or consequences, he’s just gunna see sad Dan do something dangerous, probably rape him again then feel bad, then pretend he never did anything wrong until Dan forgives him and falls in love with him. I feel like the biggest consequence jk will suffer is losing a match, like yeah he gets his ass whooped one time and that’s it.
