I would get it if she had some kind of trouble or traumatic situation in the past, but what she did or said will never be justified or considered reasonable. Fine, she is a teacher. Her need to be concerned or protective of her students is also acceptable. It's given because she is indeed their teacher, even more so as their homeroom teacher. But, despite knowing that there is nothing wrong going on, she just suggested her to quit when she is already in her third year preparing for college. That, my dear friends, is where she utterly failed as teacher. She just became nosy person imposing her principles and ideals unto someone who doesn't need them. *Mic drop*
