I think you're on the right track. Tae-kyung's guilt is a big reason why he was resisting so much, but is also why he feels he is "not allowed" to love Heeseo in this way. It "feels wrong", but he also does want Heeseo. So, it's really just his internal struggle between his desires and guilt that made him so resistant. That's why I'm not surprised that he eventually warmed up to him. I don't think he ever truly wanted to escape.
hmmm I reread from the point tae-kyung got kidnapped again and this is the conclusion I can come up with for why he warmed up to heeseo and I guess forgave him…!
It was consensual in the beginning of kidnapping but as we know tae-kyung was saying internally that he was keeping up and biding his time until he could escape. But to me he looked a bit like he was easily letting heeseo in during the kidnapping and I think it was because tae-kyung caved in to heeseo’s crying and sobbing because they have a past + their history so I think that he feels guilt for heeseo turning this way…thus his actions idk
I saw that while internally heeseo was saying ‘ahh Im just biding time, handling him and gonna escape’…he was also a bit easy like not kicking up a fuss that much like screaming and rejecting heeseo completely. Idk if anyone gets me but I’m saying that because he knows heeseo from 7 years prior that’s why he was a bit open like not open legs open but like I mean lenient is that the word or like gentle-er with heeseo I guess…
And I also think that’s just tae-kyung’s nature as a person, he is soft and gentle, keeps to himself and not much confrontational which is probably also why he basically ONLY cut ties with his adoptive mother and wasnt aggressively or actively pushing her to confess or admit to the truth as he was also not confident too due to the lack of proof n evidence…
and I think this is also what tae-kyung feels guilty about when it comes to heeseo. tae-kyung couldn’t bring heeseo’s mother justice. And the fact that there was a period where tae-kyung was supported and living off of a person who killed heeseo’s mother like woah!! Obviously he didn’t know but still finding out later that someone you trusted and thought was a respectable person who brought you in as a son was actually a killer, the one to make a child orphan and traumatise you and the reason for your scar…it doesn’t rlly make u see them in the same light anymore does it but still hard to process. Imagine the guilt. Sad
Now this was a blur n ppl r confused like I am but im also essentially reading between the lines n drawing a picture that I guess have to accept as the story seems to be coming to a close now I think with the villains away and both r chummy again…so I think the reason why tae-kyung accepts him even after the kidnapping n rape is because
1- tae-kyung finds out that heeseo kidnapped him so that tae-kyung doesn’t get framed for the murder or whatever investigation was going on.
2- Also because he couldn’t bring him justice so the fact that Heeseo has been collecting information so that he could enact his revenge suggests he was actually suffering and SEEKING REVENGE and bringing JUSTICE for his mom which heeseo couldn’t do for him and that was the guilt which he feels terrible about so that’s why he stays with him
3- and basically what I said before that tae-kyung felt guilty staying in the house, being fed and schooled by the killer of heeseo’s mother…guilt
So bro just felt guilty towards him and sorry for him so he says come here boo lemme love you my broken boy ummm
honestly still is not clear & I think a lot of people are finding it hard to understand where and how tae-kyung is all suddenly okay with everything & has done a complete switch, but because this is a psychological toxic manga, I’ll take what I’ve read between the lines
Maybe I’ve read this wrong … lemme know but that’s what I’m concluding with
Hey the story aint finished so who knows
