No matter how much I hate Kloff, when I read the novel it was clear that he was an indifferent husband who never laid a hand on Raphael. It was a loveless marriage, not an abusive one.
I admit, its still so wrong of aeroc to hire those thugs ofc nonetheless if he only intends to scare rapiel as he got assualted and murdered. Butttt i also cud never justify all of the things that happened to aeroc + kloffs actions after rapiel died. Ngl it wud hv been bit tamer if kloff just killed aeroc, i dont blame aeroc for getting so traumatized in the 2nd timeline at all
