I find this read so interesting because Amon isn’t doing this because he’s evil, twisted, or sadistic he simply does not comprehend the value of human life because he is not one. It reminds me of those videos on TikTok where people execute flys or wasps after they’ve bothered them, but even less so because Amon kills others/orders them to be killed straight off of instinct not because they have necessarily wronged him. He does stuff out of boredom. It’s like when we were kids, we would stomp on ant beds just because. Similarly, Amon executes humans with because he can. He can’t comprehend human emotions or morality and because of that I can’t necessarily be mad at him. He simply does not understand. He is a God and to them humans are disposable. It’s going to be very interesting to see how their relationship unfolds.
