Sometimes I'll be reading the best romance I've ever read in my entire life, and then suddenly the most random age gap of like idk 8 years is introduced. They looked the same age... they have great chemistry... oh but actually one of them is basically a decade older than the other. I mean, as long as they're both over twenty, I don't care in the long run, but personally, it spoils the mood for a hot second
