That's exactly what he's implying seeing how he had to find out about Lee Seodan's assault from someone else and not him. He was processing his emotions about it and from his logical perspective it's probably the best reaction he could give. He was under the impression that they're way past that and they're both comfortable enough to let each other knows their dark secrets. If you actually follow the the story, he asked Lee Seodan if he's okay.
