What turned me off the most to My Sadistic Master was the sudden slap to the MC’s face by the ML. I get it’s BDSM, but there was no warning (from what I remember) and you’re supposed to set up boundaries before getting into that thing. Go slow and then go harder from the starting point. It just felt weird after that sudden slap and the subsequent repeated face-slapping in that chapter. It was less of a partnership with equal power and more of an abuse situation that the author and or artist was trying to make seem normal in an S/M relationship.
Still, that’s just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Definitely not always good representation for bdsm contracts out here. Granted its porn for grown adults and I dont often feel like grown adults cannot seperate fiction from real life, thats probabaly my least favorite discourse. But yeah I would agree that its often poor representation of real life. My favorite will always be ang angs/hard boiled loves depiction of bdsm
There are well-written and well-depicted BDSM novels and digital comics, but they are so rare in my opinion. It’s hard to find one that doesn’t have any manipulation, abuse of power (if not actual physical abuse/assault), no safe words with a great lack of rules, and so on. I haven’t read Hard-Boiled Love, but I do like Ang Ang (if we ignore the most recent chapters with their emotional roller coasters galore).
For a straight story, I recommend In the Doghouse, although there is a slight bit of manipulation on the ML’s part, but it’s really inconsequential since they respect each other’s boundaries (almost to a fault).

Not the worst I've ever read, just a little cliché. I prefer my sadistic master. Same exact flavor as this one though
