Spoilers ahead

I love the characters in this. While it was frustrating when there were chapters on chapters that didn’t have the main character in them, and I was waiting for her to appear, the political side is well thought out. Even the conflict that was at the start wasn’t completely ignored towards the end. It was used and it had its purpose in the overall narrative. The characters are complex, from the most hateful to the most lovable. They all have their bad and good sides. From Lawrence, who of course is the worst human being on earth, but also can be pitied, to the main character, who isn’t perfect.

I especially love when she gets told that she’s pregnant and she panics. Usually with these isekai manhwa, them having babies and the main character being pregnant is the happy ending. But in this one, because she was a bad person in the past and also had a bad mother, she doesn’t even know if she wants to have the baby.

Also, Lysa, who I thought I wouldn’t even like, I ended up loving by the end. I love that the main character and Lysa had some background. Because if this were another manhwa, it would only be about Cedric and the main character, and Lysa would be included only to be like a third wheel in the love triangle or whatever. Or even like an plain mary sue. I was even a bit scared when she encountered Lawrence, since I thought they were going to get together and she was just going to be the character of like, “Well, I can change him,” or whatever, which would be frustrating. But no, she saw him for the monster he was.

This also happened with Cedric and the main character. I was frustrated every time Cedric said, “Oh, if only I could change her.” Those were the times that made Cedric hateful. You don’t get with someone and expect to change them. You know who her mother is, you know her childhood, and you know what her whole life was about. She plotted, she was cunning. You can’t expect someone like that to completely turn around and be only loving towards anyone. And even though he is understanding sometimes, I found it frustrating that he wanted to change her.

And even though I said that, I do kind of also understand since Tia, every time can't stop seeing herself as a tool. And of course it gets frustrating sometimes.

Overall, I think the ending is well earned, which is not easy. There are many comics in which this is not the case. It starts great and in the end it doesn't make any sense or the ending is not satisfying in any way.
