Because the dog thing was his first rut, not the night he slept with Josh.
And he doesn't know it's Josh, but knows he was with an omega.
If I remember correctly, his very first rut ended up badly. He got locked in a room with their family dogs and didn't know what to do. He got anxious and the dog really excited for seeing him. He kept calling his older siblings for help but no one came to save him. And the dog was killed.
Sooo, I still don't understand the thing with dogs. Why is Chase still afraid of them. I initially thought that it was because Grayson told Chase that he spent his rut with a dog so he was traumatized. Is that not the case? Is he simply afraid of dogs?
