why can’t the FL just live her own life and figure out what SHE wants without being pressured by her family and even her (new) friends??? like- “omg now that ur trying to break it off w ur fiancé who are you gonna end up with now??” LET HER HEAL FROM HIS INFIDELITY FIRST!! I understand the political nature of it- but her brother can marry a rich lady and bring honor to the family that way- and he’s gonna work for the fuckin crown prince so he’s gonna get hella honor and money anyway! FL spent her life with pretty much no family (aside from the servants.. who had to keep a certain distance from her bc the classist hierarchy n shit). neglect REALLY fucks with the brain and how people process trauma, but i doubt this author knows/cares enough to include her working on her issues. she’ll just end up with either the prince (who clearly doesn’t know proper reptile husbrandy smh smh) or the duke (typical)- and “fix” her issues by being with them (“oh wow i got the love i needed <3” instead of “i love myself, and before my family n shit i am ME”. this story is just a continuation of her life without choices, she WILL end up with one of those men.
