(Spoilers) World 3- Kloff’s return is more of a punishment. In the beginning it feels like he’s winning, he was able to reinsert himself back in Aeroc’s life because he purposefully made people believe he’s Aeroc’s financial advisor.

The beauty of that arc is Kloff realizes it’s hell, he isn’t exactly winning. He kept trying to jog Aeroc’s memory, trying to find reasons to do everything again (he honestly suspected Aeroc would repeat world 1 tragedy)

But this Aeroc resented him so things played out differently. What I like about this arc was several key points, the Bottom Part. Aeroc scolded Kloff that he isn’t God, he had no right to kill people even if they were scum. Kloff was saying I’m only hurting those who aren’t innocent, which triggered this conversation.

And the fight between them. After Kloff almost killed Aeroc due to the imprint. Kloff missing OG Aeroc had him painted in his poor state, this painting made Aeroc ask “Did you enjoy seeing me in such a state!?” Which made Kloff scared because he realized that OG Aeroc was actually a good person, but his love for Kloff dragged him down. It felt like reading a puzzle piece tbh. And brownie points that Kloff was miserable because he keeps seeing his children from another life, and the victory he thought he had wasn’t real this Aeroc wasn’t the one he longed for. It’s like he was slowly being suffocated by how peaceful everything was.

He did have this Aeroc as his lover, but it wasn’t exactly happy ending because he mentioned that every time he tried to love Aeroc.. he remembers all the horrible things he’s done. (But yeah his greed made him want to be with this one. But was he happy?)

This isn’t exactly a happy ending. In the side stories, Kloff was overcompensating his relationship with Aeroc by spoiling him (like it makes up for anything). Kloff only had one pov in book 5 and doesn’t exactly get more, it’s all Aeroc talking… so the misery doesn’t feel as strong.. but he does suffer in this arc

He felt guilt with his kids. His imprint shows him speaking about Rapiel Jr. He killed their mom.. and now he’s enjoying living this life like nothing happened. He made everyone miserable for nothing…
