It is a redemption arc, the author has done that before (BJ Alex) and will do the exact same formula again. The rapist will not pay for his crimes and will get everything he wants free of proper consequences. And yes, fiction does affect reality, like it or not, people reading this and being upset is more than valid, it's expected. For the love of God do you really think the author is this stupid? They weren't born yesterday I fear... This is intentional.
I don't see anyone else saying it so I will: Jaekyung's childhood is NOT an excuse for anything he has done. Anyone who's yapping about "haha L your sadass trauma aint gonna make me feel bad for you" is stupid, its a BACKstory as in it happened in the PAST and thus is IRRELEVENT to the present timeline. get that in your head. if you hate the characters so much, whats the point in complaining about it? im not defending any of the characters actions, but people need to accept what he is—A CHARACTER. this is not a redemption arc, this is not an excuse for him being an asshole, and this is FICTION.
