So from the subtext in c4 his crush is acting nice to MC and consoling him all while trash talking him behind his back and spreading rumors. It also seems like he told his friend that he and MC are partners in a sexual sense, which is why the friend is making a move on MC. He must thinks MC is an easy twink bottom. It'll probably hurt to read up to the part where MC gets consoled by the ML...
