Words cannot begin to explain how deeply disappointed I was by the sudden extreme kidnapping and rape that was somehow brushed over and accepted by the mc as if nothing happened…? What the actual fuck is this story. At least if you’re going to involve dark themes make them actually have substance and make sense. There is no reason that a strong/self-assured/confident MC would suddenly develop Stockholm with no previous indication of it after getting raped and beaten by the other dude for an entire fucjing week. Be so fucking for real.
I’m so angry about how lazy this plot is. It feels like the author just wanted to add in some rape without actually acknowledging the consequences of it. This story had such a promising start only to intensely go down the shitter. I’m not disappointed by the rape itself but by how poorly it’s been handled and not at all addressed. Like fucking hell you can’t just completely change both the main character’s personalities in a chapter bc you feel like it with no explanation. I’ve dropped this story now and don’t recommend this to anyone I’m SO LET DOWN.
