nice palate cleanser after reading so many reincarnation/transmigration historical manhwas lol.... I've always felt slightly uncomfortable with this idea of one personality over the body of another & i feel like this manga at least explores some of the stakes that that might actually entail....
also I find myself sympathizing w ppl who were irritated w rin (author commentary said that he was the most popular character by a lot.... really??? (￣∇￣")) but I do think a lot of this manga's themes are around forgiveness (forgiving others and forgiving urself)... in that sense mokuren's love for shion is pretty irrational lmao but isn't that part of what makes it so beautiful?? & her forgiveness of him despite everything what makes her what he needs most in the end? forgiving isnt necessarily forgetting but its what allows ppl to move on from the past...
