Ngl I think she kind of expected this to happen and either 1. Expected them to band together and protect each other or 2. Wanted this to happen so she can tell the emperor to cut contact with the consort and send her back home with cause. Since she has harmed another consort and tried to assassinate the empress, she can be tried for treason, attempted murder and harm of an imperial family member. That’s a death sentence. Not sure if it will end up that way but I hope it does.
For someone known to be manipulative, scheming, and insightful, the empress sure had no plans against this red headed bitch for when she was away on inspection. The empress expressed concern ab Suzanne, but just left it at that?? No countermeasures in place, no backup plan, nothing??? I do hope she had something up her sleeve and doesn’t come home completely bewildered that something happened to her allys bc duh
