Rereading this because duh

Rereading this because it's a masterpiece, and I have to say, the way Yohan's trauma (response) is presented is very well done. He's kind of put in the position as the golden child to compensate for the scape goat and the challenger of the narcissist parent - his older brother. The narcissistic dad and the appeasing mother dynamic is very typical, and the way their sons turned out is also believable. Their attachment issues and outlooks, the fact Yohan has become hyper sensitive of others' emotions and how he interprets danger and criticism where there isn't any is well written, realistic representation of narcissistic parent- based trauma.

Similarly, the MC's disorder because of sexual trauma is underrepresented I think, and shows a different perspective on people who are otherwise deemed promiscuous and judged upon for their hypersexuality. His avoidant attachment is also believably written and makes sense. All characters here have dimension, it's so pleasant to read and to care about their relationships because they have substance.
