gilhan must’ve been somewhat dependable and kind for suhan to trust him so much, but gilhan’s desperation for love and fear of losing his home again must’ve drove him insane, and growing up surrounded by so much violence (that followed him even if he didn’t want it) must have instilled violence into him as an automatic response
i would like to see more nuanced opinions on his character tbh, his backstory and personality/actions was pretty well written and super realistic i think it deserves more than “don’t care, hate him” this story is clearly not just fluffy and has a psychological aspect to it soooo
finally someone with a brain, media literacy, and a shred of empathy in the comments ☠
the orphanage system is honestly so messed up, v sad to think about children who get left in systems that aren’t made to protect them. like gilhan as a child was completely innocent, it’s so sad to see vulnerable kids grow up unstable and mess up their lives and the lives of people around them :(
