having a bad backstory isn’t an excuse. i like the story but let’s not be delusional here. they know right from wrong and have admitted they are bad people. like are stories like these the only ones you’ve read cos i’ve read worse and the ml never raped anybody.
If you were in their shoes how would u have turned out? I'M NOT TRYING TO DEFEND THEM but they had literally no education on anything. No one taught them what even happiness or sadness is let alone murder or rape. Its true that someone chooses to become bad or good but if the kid didn't learn either its hard for them to choose the "right" thing. Besides it requires a person to meet a decent person for them to become a decent person. Idk if they've ever met an adult who gave them a chance to become good but if they've never met one then they obv won't know what they should do.
