the lack of empathy for gilhan is esp shocking if you think abt how much suhan reiterated that he wouldn't have the strenght to go on of he didn't have gilhan, he clearly helped suhan like pleaseeeee it's insane reading everyone's comments on this i get that gilhan's awful but i felt incredibly sad reading his story??? everyone saying they dgaf is insane to me

Nothing he did was justified, however, he doesn't deserve to be set on fire, die, or commit suicide like some people here are implying. Also, despite him being tall and out of school, he's a dropout who's like a year or two older than the protagonists, he's still a teenager.
Hopefully he gets the help that he needs and realises how wrong his actions were, and hopefully Suhan also realises that the way Gilhan insisted on touching him was terribly inappropriate.
i know, thank you im gonna cry for me this is a story where we can have discussions like this, not act and talk so devoid of humanity. i can see a world where gilhan is the protagonist and receives all the help and support suhan is getting right now and he will be not automatically well but significantly better, i don't get how everyone's crucifying him for being wounded all his life and bleeding onto people if that makes sense?? it's so, it makes me so sad
what the fuck is with the comments... i expected better??? this story is clearly a complex exploration of what loneliness and a lack of support system does, i thought it was clear enough that suhan depended on gilhan and vice versa bcs they found comfort in eo bcs they didn't have anyone to depend on as a CHILD
gilhan's ways are just twisted bcs he clearly received no help, is in a completely different social standing/situation and in a way refuses to heal unlike suhan, i don't get why everybody's so fucking enraged for no reason, this not me saying what he was doing (eg. manipulating suhan into staying with him only+ attempts of inappropriate touching etc) is right and there will be no world where it's justified but there's a reason why he's like this, it's not like he's just a one dimensional evil person i can't believe i even have to say this bcs it's literally RIGHT THERE in the story if you fucking read
