the themes are super coherent (revenge, unhealthy obsessions, substitutes for their true loved ones) and every single character's actions were consistent with their ambitions and those themes???? tbh i think every character is kind of a POS except for judith and luca but they're still complex enough that i can understand why they did the things they did and thus didn't just drop the series.
however... i think duke winter winterwald is the biggest POS.. what he did was little more than ensnaring sophia without her consent and even if she grew regard him w affection (i do NAWT thing she loves him, even now), the way he treated his son?????? what's wrong w u... there's a limit to how much you can use being down bad as an excuse to treat literally everyone else.
anyway.. all to say.. so incredibly good to read and for a manhwa/light novel this shit was so fun to analyze and apply some sort of critical thinking compared to when reading the avg isekai story!!!
