The villages blind and rabid faith would make more sense if they actually got something in return besides being blatantly robbed and abused. Or is there dark magic warping their mind???
Like if they were creating miracles like making the land fertile or something and then demanding everything they had and killing people id understand more. But they’re literally not getting anything in return except a blatantly fake priest. ☠
